An accounting point is the point in the grid where supply can change from one supplier to another. In Germany, it is a market location (Marktlokation). In the Netherlands, it is a connection with an EAN-18 code.

Master data

The grid operator sends data about each accounting point, for example its balance group, its metering grid area and its connection status. Engrate keeps this data as the master data of the accounting point. Each accounting point also shows the periods in which you supply it.

History

The market gives each value for a period of validity and can correct the value later. Engrate keeps all values. For each value, Engrate records when the market sent it and when Engrate received it. Because of this, you can read the master data for a given date. You can also read the master data as Engrate knew it at an earlier time.

Aggregate allocations

Each accounting point shows the aggregate allocations that include it. See Aggregate allocations.
